Are fans allowed to say "we" when referring to the Angels?

When talking about the Angels team/organization, are fans allowed to say "we"?  I don't say we because I have no stake in the organization and do nothing to influence the outcome on the field. 

 

Other people will say they have the right to say we because they spend their money on the product, so they feel a part of it.  What do you say?

I say yes if you're a real fan, i.e. An Angel at heart.

I'm going to say yes, because it's understood to be colloquial rather than literal.  English lacks sufficient diversity in its third person pronouns to distinguish the "them" we like from the "them" we don't.

I try not to say we, but I accidentally do every once in awhile. I've been a diehard fan of this team since 1977, so cut me some slack.

Season ticket holders can say 'We' because they have a financial investment in the team. They're Arte's business partners.

Single game attendees who purchased a ticket can use 'We' on game day only.

All others who never attend games both home or away should use 'They' when describing the Angels. 😛
