It is pretty sick that he is back in MLB.  He just turned 40.  Allegedly.  I liked the guy. Not sure why Angels fans hated on him.  He was a mediocre pitcher during his time with the Angels, not a terrible one.  He had a pretty good year in 2002.

I just remember how Physioc and Hudler used to blow their wad talking about that one start in 2000 or 2001 when Ortiz did well against Pedro and the Red Sox.  They seriously were still talking about it a year after it happened.

Another funny story about Ortiz, I remember hearing one that in early 2002 a couple of the players brought a chicken into the clubhouse or something to try to get rid for the Angels curse and Ortiz screamed and jumped into his locker.

Checking the other numbers, Blanton is the slightly better pitcher, but not by much.
