Have you not been paying attention?  This Astros team is a solid team.  They are a playoff level team.

Were 3 games back in the loss column, and play them a handful of times as well.  The Astros are a good team but 3 games is not insurmountable, and lets not overrate them.  They are about to go on a 9 game road trip, lets see how much ground the Angels can make up while the Astros are on this road trip.  Theres no need to flip out because of a losing streak, people act like they havent been through a regular season before.

I would not be surprised to see them end up with the best overall record. If we land a wild card slot then win somehow. We would get to face the Astros in Houston from the ALDS

That worked out really well last time.

Early August is not a bad time to slump. Look at some of the pitching we have faced. Trout was banged up. A freaking bullpen day? And an injured CJ Wilson. This team is going to catch fire again.

It's called getting beat by teams better than you, that's all.  The Astros and Dodgers have players who are far better than ours in most positions.

 

Astros were considered a joke when they joined the Division.

Name one team this decade that made the post-season despite a 5 game losing streak and a 1-9 stretch in the same season.

heading into LA to face Greinke and Kershaw after that Houston series, I had a pretty good idea of how this weekend was going to go and consequently I stayed away from the TV all weekend and just checked the score occasionally on my phone. Much less frustrating.

Name one team this decade that made the post-season despite a 5 game losing streak and a 1-9 stretch in the same season.

 

At least one, the 2010 SF Giants went 1-9 from June 23 to July 2nd with a 7 game losing streak in that run.  There could be more, but since I only looked at the first WS winner in this decade I think that's good enough.
