CJ Wilson to the DL, Rucinski up

Recommended Posts

I've never understood the CJ Wilson hate. No, he's not an elite pitcher, but he's a market value lefty who eats innings. This year CJ has a 105 ERA- and 101 FIP-, so he is essentially league average. This injury is not a good thing for the Angels.

You're right, and normally it wouldn't be a good thing for the Angels, but we have options available in the pitching area.  And this is mainly due to the fact that we didn't trade them away this past week.

The frustration with CJ is that he is extremely un-clutch. His melt downs tend to occur in tight games with added significance in the postseason race (ie games against the Astros)

Come on Weave, instead of posting on AW, you need to be working on the velocity issue.

Weaver had an 82 MPH fastball in his last rehab outing.

That doesn't matter, he had an 82 MPH fastball in ST and in the beginning of the season, he's still going to be given a spot in the rotation
