Not in 2013 but in 2014 after Enfield gets his kinda players. Give him a yr. We'll be terrible again this yr.

They've gotten a few transfers and are"in it" for some top 2014 recruits....

In basketball all u need is a handful of guys to make a serious run. USC has a lot going for them.

Don't be so pessimistic. With Kiffin and Enfield you guys are looking at dual championships in 2014.

He is the guy who is responsible for what I assume will be a significant upgrade in your DC. I really think that CP will do incredibly well for you guys.

His scheme seems to fit perfect with USC's personnel

The players seem a lot more comfortable so far from practice reports

Scrimmage #1 in the books

Kessler 12-16 121 yds 1TD 0 Int

Wittek 13-20 193 yds 2 TD 0 Int (70yd bomb to Agholor against #2 defense fwiw)

Browne 7-11 54yds

For those worried mostly about the qb competition. Lamar Dawson/ Scott Starr led team with 7 tackles each.

Oh, I know. JT is pretty much Kiffin's mentor. They're very close.

JT didn't "wear out his welcome." He ran himself into the ground. The program went down with him. He did wonderful things for Cal and got the program incredibly close to achieving some sort of relative greatness.

There are A LOT of what if's for Tedford. The 2004 team should have gone to the Rose Bowl. The 2006 team would have gone to the Rose Bowl if Desean Jackson's toe had stayed in bounds on a play that seemingly went for a TD against Arizona. The moment Kevin Riley ran against Oregon State instead of throwing it away when Cal was poised to be ranked #1, JT snapped. Riley NEVER recovered. Cal never fully recovered.

Something changed the moment he slammed that clipboard down. Nothing he did from that point on really worked.

He left Cal with a rather talented team. It will be interesting to see if Dykes can do something with it.

Cal cancelled practice today. Beat that.

By the way, Tepper was one of my favorites.

Edit- 23 guys includes guys who are "non contact" but can do certain drills

Also Chad Wheeler has all but won the LT position battle. A guy who came in around 225-245 worked his tail off to get to 295 beat out Aundrey Walker. Walker now battling John Martinez for RG. Guard is Walker's natural position.

Why they cancel?
