ESPN made the point last night that the salaries of the deadline acquisitions that the Dodgers have made exceed the entire payroll that Friedman had to work with in Tampa.

We got a couple of journeyman outfielders who by all accounts are nice guys and easy to get along with. We gave up hardly anything in return.

After watching the Angels game last night, it's clear there is no logic or reason within this game. Whatever is going to happen will happen, and there is nothing you can do to change that.

I would've liked the Doyyers to work out a deal to get Josh Hamilton.  In retrospect, it seems like a total Doyyer move at the trade deadline.

Agree.  This is what a forward thinking, intelligent front office does:  Maximize it's strengths.  I'm envious of the Dodgers' front office.  

 

If you have an unlimited budget, it's quite easy to be "creative".
