Freese's defense is better than anyone else under consideration because he is only able to field balls hit within a 6 inch reach.  Looking forward to seeing someone at 3B who can move laterally.

 

Unless his replacement is Matt Joyce, the loss of his offense will not be a huge loss.

well ... the answer seems clear, kubitza or cowart... do they try cowart in hopes that he either gets it this time or do they feel hes too fragile?  kubitza seems the more likely choice
i hear talk of making a run at zobrist... id like it with the idea being that he would likely become that DH/super util guy once freese is back... but that still leaves the issue in the OF, zobrist alone wont be enough

I'm ok with Kubitza at this point, let Cowart build up his confidence a little, dude was lost for a year or two. The team doesn't need Kubitza to carry them, just put up close to average numbers for a few weeks until Mr. Freese is back.
