David Freese actually fractured his right index finger. Thinks he may be out 3 weeks.

Freese's injury is actually to his right index finger. Has a splint on it, which he'll wear for two weeks.

Freese said it's similar to the fractured right middle finger he suffered last year. Missed about three weeks then; hopes for the same now.

Freese is waaaaaayyyyyy better than his replacements. And Freese will be rusty 4-8 weeks from now so who knows how he does in the playoffs.

This is bad guys. We need a LF bat badly.

Then the other guys are pathetic. Freese is mediocre at best. We already needed a LF bat badly before this happened. I don't think this is as bad as a loss as some may think

This is a good thing. We know what Freese is capable of. Kubitza or Cowart can have some time to see if they can light it up.

On the injury front this season, we've been very fortunate. It happens. We will be ok.

What happens when they hit .127 ?

3B is a tough position to fill. Haven't had a good 3B since Figgins. Mediocre 3B don't grow on trees either. Someones gottta handle that position without hurting the offense.

I agree but my point was that Freese doesn't contribute all that much offensivley. We have to just hope for the best then
