For all we know Dipoto may have been forced to resign. I'm happy it was Dipoto and not Scioscia who stayed with the team. I wish they both could've worked out their differences.

I don't think that's the case since the Angels were trying to convince him to return once he packed up his office. I'm starting to think he did the noble thing by leaving the team; he realized that his constant disagreements with Scioscia were distracting the team. They just couldn't work together, obviously.
