Cron pinch hitting vs a dominant righty reliever????

What the heck was Scioscia thinking?

You're only down 2 runs, Navarro makes solid contact as does Giovatella, and then you have the lefty Calhoun vs the righty.

Instead, he sends up a guy who might as well be Oglivie or Timmy Lupus when facing a good righty, WITH THE GAME ON THE LINE.

But you know exactly why he did it. He put the guy up there with the most power and was hoping to catch lightning in a bottle.

Stop, this is "National Criticize The Angels Week."  Optimists are banned, the end is near.  It's a good week for a solar eclipse.

He's never made a mistake in his life so I wouldn't dream of guessing what went through his mind.

The question AO was asking is what was he thinking not was it a mistake. But since you asked, yes I think it was a mistake. I would have hoped for the double from Navarro.

Scioscia doesn't play lefty/righty matchups.

This is one of those cases where if Cron hit a homerun, Sosh would look like a genius (though he would receive no credit). Whatever option he chooses will always be questioned if the option fails to come through.

I agree Cron was a poor choice, but the decision at least makes some sense.

Cron does not belong on a major league roster. its quite baffling nobody in the Angels org realizes something so obvious. Its becoming apparent Dipoto left because he feels like hes surrounded by idiots and he has no recourse for changing anything.

well seeing as the GM is the one who calls up and sends down players, wouldn't this be on him? management uses the players they are given

i am not taking sides in any of this, but blaming sosh for EVERYTHING is getting pretty old
