Predict Stonemans First Move

Recommended Posts

Main moves for Stoneman, as IP mentioned elsewhere, are to:

a) tell Arte that the GM needs to be in control of player moves and not Arte or Carpino or Scioscia, and

B) find us a GM to take this franchise back to a consistently solid level at the MLB level and at the MiLB level.

Honest question here, are you a troll or simply an idiot? If you think someone like Stoneman would agree to take the position but in name only, you must be one or the other. Most people around here that don't care for having Stoneman because he seldom makes trades, but you think he's a puppet. So if he doesn't make a trade, which most here feel he won't, it's because Sosh told him not too. Or if he makes a trade you don't like then it's because Sosh told him too. Seems pretty legit and I can find no fault in your logic.

"This is Mike Scioscia’s team – today, like perhaps never before – and everything else is mostly just for looks.

So, when the Angels finally got around to announcing that former GM Bill Stoneman would be returning to the job and taking over for Dipoto, it generally was understood that it would’ve been more cost efficient and just as practical for them to have hired a puppet."

Will trade for a vet bat who has been scuffling a bit but has had some good swings of late and seeing the ball well just hasn't had the balls off his bat go his way of late. He's confident they will soon after a change of scenery

Obviously you haven't followed Stoneman's track record at the trade deadline.  Two words:  Alex Ochoa....
