Cron's batting stance

Maybe the open batting stance works for some good hitters, but for a guy withoit a great clue about the strike zone it seems like Cron sets himself up for a fail or flail every at bat.

He sets up mid day in the batter's box off of the plate. Has an open stance with his left foot even further away from the plate. Constantly swings at the Howie Kendrick ball a foot off the plate and with this stance the only way he can reach that pitch is to dive at the ball.

He is absolutely off balance in every at bat. It shouldn't be a surprise he keeps hitting these weak pop ups or ground balls.

I don't remember him having this batting stance last season.
