I was using a phone and wrote something twice.

I'm saying that it's not good to say that we should go back or forward in time. They should just say what they want.

When people say they like the fifties, they mean the more stable families and not the Jim Crow South.

 

Edit: I guess you can use it as an example of something, "in this time, the this rate was this much," but sometimes things occurred simultaneosly but weren't related. For example, some parts of the US was more racist, but that has nothing to do with respect for family.

i agree with you in principal. the idea of returning to the values of another decade is fraught with inaccurate memory.
