Was claimed by the Brewers. Why didn't we claim him?

The Angels have Kyle Kubitza and are trying to win right now and Matt Dominguez is more of a reclamation project. The Brewers are out of it and need to replace Aramis Ramirez after this year (maybe sooner) anyway so it really made the most sense for them.

I believe this to be incorrect. Last I heard, other AL teams had a crack at him (from last to first), then NL teams (from last to first).

Couldn't we have claimed him and just stashed him on the 40 man? No need for him to be on the big club. Didn't realize we are so deep at third base.

The CBA states win loss record in reverse order, if two teams with identical records but different leagues both put in a claim, then the team in the same league gets priority...   But the worst record in the NL would take priority over any team with a better record.

OK...wasn't sure that had changed with the last CBA.
