The issue is the production at LF, DH and C.  Perez will fix the C issue.

Joyce has had enough at bats. He is trash.  Cron at DH is a joke.

This team has to make a trade(s) to fill these two holes because they don't have anybody in-house that can.

It's like that episode of 'It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia' where they find some useful stuff in a dumpster. After a few days of finding a lot of stuff that still might have some use they realize that they are stuck with a whole lot of junk.

Dumpster diving is not going to solve anything. They need a legit major league player to plug in somewhere.

LOL. You know he was drafted out of college, right?

But you're right! Minor league coaching has no bearing on player development.

Again, agreed.

Proof has shown time and time again that coaches at the professional level make mediocre to bad hitters and pitchers great.

Since minor league coaches have no impact on player development I expect to see our draft picks from the last few days getting starts on the major league team within the next week or two. If they can't hit, it's proof they were never any good and we can just release them. If they hit, well, we found a future star. It would certainly save us the 5 years of waiting for these guys to come up through the minors.

Pretty much.

The proof is in the pudding.

How many players actually make it that are drafted? Why does the same team draft ~10 players but only ~2 make it? Do the coaches only work with the successful players because the other ~8 fail? Does the Brandon Wood's of the world have great AA coaches, but bad AAA and major league coaches?
