because he a rule 5 draftee and we have to keep him on the roster the whole year because if we send him down we have to give him back to the Colorado Rockies, and also he is the one player who can backup short and is good defensively.

That's the main reason why we are keeping him.

The Angels may want to consider promoting Stamets if Freese hits the DL. Kubitza's in a but of a slump right now, but is definitely the future 3B. If they promote Stamets, they can delay Kubitza's clock, let him develop his glove more in AAA.

Stamets is similar to Featherston except he's younger, faster and better defensively. Plays 2B, SS and 3B.
