I've been using the Note 4 off an on for the past 4 months.  It's a solid phone with good battery performance and no noticeable lag when using apps.  With Verizon locking the bootloader so that customers cannot get root access, it hinders additional functionality of the phone.

I'm not sure I'm on board with their definition of "popular" as applied to an item for sale.

Popular and most satisfied don't seem to be the same thing.  The Note 4 is in a class of its own and has been since it came out.  Not another phone on the market that touch its feature set.

As an overall package absolutely.  Nothing even close.

 

For what the Note 4 does, if that is what you need, there isn't another phone on the market like it.
