Too little too late. The teams pitching has now gone down the tunes as expected and they have found other ways to lose. This is a pattern we should all be used to.

I fully agree, but they have now lost 5 of their last 7 games and the pitching has not been good in any of them. One win they had to recover from a 7th inning 3 run blown hold by the bullpen and the other win they scored 9 runs in an inning where the red sux errored and couldnt put tags on base runners to allow the inning to continue, the pitching also gave up 5 runs in that win. So really, the pitching has gone down the tunes for over a week now. I understand the pitching was the sole bright spot on this team, but it's only a matter of time before that light begins to dim as well and it has already happened.

Advances in stats, the shift, and all of the info readily available to pitchers.  On the plus side, they have been wanting to speed games up -- great pitching makes for much shorter games.  People will still say the game takes too long and is "boring".
