To support that: Perez has an cERA of 2.47 but that is only over 8 games. More impressive is that he has thrown out 5 of 6 stealing.

I've been there and it's a lot nicer than Fenway. But the games being played on the field are basically the same story:

 

Shitty starting pitching puts the team in an early deficit. Offense fights back to take the lead late or at least tie it. Bullpen comes out and takes a gigantic dump and puts the game out of reach. Wash. Rinse. Repeat.

definitely a small sample size, but worth keeping an eye on. CI has never been a good defensive catcher, both in terms of game calling and controlling the running game.

Since his call up, he has started in 8 of 13 games at catcher. It will be interesting to see how much Iannetta plays behind the plate when I think it is pretty clear that Perez is better defensively.
