I was thinking the same thing, so I rewound the TV and noticed just how far up the line that throw was going. It was going to be a quarter of the way up the line. Aybar would have been safe because of how far up the line the throw was.

Watching the Angels try to score runs in April and Mayvhas become just way painful at this point. Usually June 1st and onwards they get way better. But not sure what their issue is first couple months every season.
