Angels acquired INF Ryan Jackson from the Royals for C Drew Butera.

Jackson was batting .305/.379/.407 in 68 plate appearances this season for the Royals' Triple-A affiliate, but he'll be nothing more than organizational infield depth for the Halos. The 26-year-old (27 next week) hasn't appeared in a major league game since 2013.

Pretty sure he told the other guy that if things broke right he could have a Jeff Mathis like career.   Those are the sorts of power words that get deals done.

In November 2013, he went from the Cards to the Astros via Waiver claim.

 

In December 2013, he went from the Astros to the Padres via Trade.

 

Played most of the 2014 Season for the Padres affiliate. 

 

Traded to the Dodgers in the offseason, then the Royals, now to us.

 

So Cards, Astros, Padres, Dodgers, Royals, Angels. In less than two years.
