They practice all over, all the time.  They've done it many times in West Texas.  Dessert and decent altitude terrain does mirror the Middle East. Someone one day will end up having to go jack hammer Texas off and let it drift into the Gulf.

10% of the people who think Obama is out to steal their guns and stick them in FEMA camps under the guise of a training exercises....like the idea.

 

Maybe we should petition the British to take us back as their colony....I'm not sure this self rule thing is going to work out after all.

They used to use Montana all the time for the Rangers training in WWII since the terrain was similar to the Alps.

 

Texas is similar to hell on earth so they get to represent the Middle East.
