The don't lose hope silver lining...

The team always sucks in the first six weeks of the season. Not worried yet.  It'll be a long time before I think there's cause for worry.  If they still suck when June comes around, then I'll be concerned.  Sort of.  Or not.  I dunno...

At least we aren't ten games under .500, and the team in first place in the division is not likely capable of staying there. I don't believe that we will be chasing the Astros into September. Being just under .500 at a time when virtually nobody in the lineup is hitting isn't a terrible spot. The whole team won't hit under .200 for the season.

I believe in Houston as much as the next guy.

But the seasons are dotted with teams having great starts, and then falling back.

The 1982 Atlanta Braves started the season 13-0. Later in the same season they had a 13-game losing streak. They did win the division (by one game) but they had to come from behind to do it and they needed help on the last day of the season.

This team needs a giant shake up if nothing changes in the next few weeks. We can't afford to watch Weaver pitch like this and Shoe not be much better with Trop and Heaney in AAA.

If Shoe bombs his next few starts then we have to consider:

Richards, Santiago, Wilson, Heaney, Trop

As for the lineup:

There's no hope.  Everyone sucks and there's no replacements in sight. Everyone just needs to get better.  Pujols hitting fifth would be a good start.
