Truly a stand up guy and im happy for him.  Hes a better hitter than Mays, steroids dont help that much and A-Rod was a legend before he even took roids.  And im sure many guys in the old days cheated in different forms also, theres more ways to cheat than just roids and if you really dont believe that then you are misinformed.

P.s. Id like to see Mays and Aaron hit against guys like Randy Johnson, Pedro Martinez, Roger Clemens, as well as many other guys who were completely dominant and were on roids themselves.

If steroids only gave a slight edge, guys wouldn't be going to the lengths that they have to get them (risking suspension or expulsion in the process), and you wouldn't see a guy suddenly hit 73 home runs at a time when most guys are winding down toward retirement.

I admit it helps you hit for power but it cant make you a superstar, otherwise everyone in the steroid era would be a 1st ballot HOF.

I understand that you can't just pick a guy up off the street, give him steroids and make him a star. However, if a player already has the requisite skills (mainly hand/eye coordination), give him 'roids and he achieves things that he never would otherwise.
