T.V. announcers

I watch a lot of baseball on TV, and get to watch and hear a lot of the different teams announcers.   After the last 3 yrs of watching and rating them, I have come to the conclusion that our pair,  Rojas and Gubicza are the worst.    Just give a listen to Vin Scully, Charlie Steiner, Rick Monday from the Dodgers, or even Dick Enberg with the Padres,  all outstanding.  Just about every major league team has excellent TV announcers,  except the Angels..    If the Angels are going to be a first class team, get some first class announcers.

Victor is fine, it's Gubi who needs to go. He rarely provides any real commentary. He will often predict a pitch like a fastball and it'll be a change up.

Victor is awesome IMO. Angels are not even close to the worst

 

You ever hear the Marlins crew? They're awful. Hawk is terrible(though I like to listen just because it's funny now).

I'm not a fan of Victor either, but the majority here like him. I really liked Sutton and I'm a fan of Langston.

Living in Canada every Jays game is broadcasted with Buck Martinez and Pat Tabler and they're decent, huge homers though. I also have MLB.TV and imo there isn't anyone I'd want over Victor, Gubi on the other hand...

Victor is a top PbP guy in my book, on the other hand Gubi is absolute trash. I'd love to somehow have John Smoltz as our color guy

Victor is tolerable.  I like his knowledge and his historical presence around the game growing up.   I detest Gubi, and I think Gubi brings Victor down a little with the goofiness.

 

I am one that loves a homer like Hawk, or Hud.

 

Give me homers that are passionate about the team.  Victor is passionate.   I don't think I'd trade him.   I hope he lasts another 30 years with the team.

I like Victor and Gubi. There's never going to be another Vin Scully, so that's not a fair comparison, in my opinion.
