It saddens me even further that this took place at a university I once attended. We owe a tremendous debt of gratitude to the veterans of our military. These students need to learn this.

I don't understand the appeal of fraternities... You pay money for friends and get to live with a bunch of dudes in a big house for a few years.

There were a couple of them on campus at UF when I was there (Alpha Epsilon Pi was the other), and there was a Jewish sorority as well (I don't recall what they were called).

I don't understand the appeal of fraternities... You pay money for friends and get to live with a bunch of dudes in a big house for a few years.

 

I belonged to one during my college years. I pledged a small house because I wasn't interested in being part of a large group, and the house I joined wasn't into jocks and face men. It was just regular guys. I am still in contact with many of my fraternity brothers even though I haven't lived in the house in more than 40 years.
