What made it worse was the slow painful death that started in mid August and most of September followed by one last gasp those final five games that gave us hope again. That really was a great team. Anderson, Edmonds, Salmon, Snow, Davis, and Phillips were pretty potent as an offense for most of the season. Despite the pitching being suspect, I would have loved to have seen what they could have done in the playoffs that year.

Many forget that the Mariners on their high beat the Yankees that year.

 

We had that spark in '95. I thought it was us and the Indians...which were also some of the best games that year.

same here. I hate the mariners (because of those years), but that team was ridiculous

3 hall of famers, 4 if martinez ever gets in, all playing together at their peak....
