Sydney McLaughlin on Sunday night broke the world record in the women's 400-meter hurdles.

McLaughlin, 21, who recorded a time of 51.90 seconds, outraced Dalilah Muhammad to earn the victory at the U.S. Olympic trials in Eugene, Oregon. In doing so, she became the first woman to break the 52-second barrier.

Her time crushed the previous record of 52.16 seconds set by Muhammad, who finished second in Sunday's final.

First test: The Ford Bronco is back to battle Jeep

Owners can remove more than the doors and roof.

There are hundreds of other accessories available at launch from Ford and various aftermarket companies, and the Bronco was engineered to be easily customizable. Along with the doors and roof, the fender flares can be removed by flicking a couple of thumb levers and the fenders themselves and grille are held on by just a few readily accessible screws.

Wisconsin man gets 20 years for killing son, 5, in fight over slice of Father’s Day cake

Wisconsin man gets 20 years for killing son, 5, in fight over slice of Father’s Day cake

When a 5-year-old Milwaukee boy died in June 2019, the child’s caretakers initially told police he had fallen down a flight of stairs.

Eventually, the boy’s father told investigators what really happened: He had punched the child in the stomach and hit him in the face, resulting in death, because the child had eaten the father’s slice of Father’s Day cheesecake, according to a report.

On Tuesday, convicted killer Travis Stackhouse was sentenced to 20 years in prison, plus an additional eight years of extended supervision, after pleading guilty to three felony charges in relation to his son’s death, FOX 6 of Milwaukee reported.

The charges included second-degree reckless homicide, neglecting a child and child abuse/intentionally causing harm, the station reported.

"The average person that hears about this case can’t understand how you would beat or punch any living human being as badly as you did in this case – let alone your own child," Milwaukee County Circuit Court Judge David Borowski said during the sentencing hearing, according to FOX 6.

So sad that he did this to his own child over a piece of cake

Correctional officer busted for having sex with inmate in front of prisoners

A California correctional officer has been sentenced to jail time after having sex with an inmate while she was on the job – and in front of other prisoners, according to local reports.

Tina Gonzalez, 27, was busted after Fresno County Sheriff’s Office workers received a tip about her relationship with a prisoner who was caught with a cellphone behind bars in 2019.

Her behavior was "something only a depraved mind can come up with," Fresno’s Assistant Sheriff Steve McComas told the judge, according to the Fresno Bee.

She had been on the job in 2016 and resigned a short time after authorities uncovered the scandal.

Gonzalez was accused of cutting a hole in her uniform to facilitate her intimate encounters with the inmate, which they reportedly had within the view of 11 other prisoners.

"She has shown no remorse," McComas told the Bee. "She continually calls and has sexually explicit conversations with the inmate in question and boasts about the crimes she carried out."

Gonzalez was sentenced to 210 days behind bars and two years of probation on felony charges of sexual activity by a detention facility employee with a consenting confined adult and possession of drugs or an alcoholic beverage in a jail facility. She had pleaded guilty to the charges in April.

Man who hasn't paid his mortgage in over 20 years dodges eviction — again

A Long Island man who hasn’t paid his mortgage in more than 20 years got another free pass from the courts this week after hiring a new lawyer.

Guramrit Hanspal, 52, hasn’t coughed up a dime to live in his East Meadow home since making a single mortgage payment in 1998, but ducked eviction for decades by filing lawsuits and bankruptcies, records show.

The home, which was foreclosed on years ago, is now owned by Diamond Ridge Partners, which hauled Hanspal into court in a bid to finally boot him from the property.

At a Wednesday hearing in Nassau County court, Judge William A. Hohauser agreed to delay the case after Hanspal’s attorney, William D. Friedman, requested more time, claiming his co-counsel, David Gevanter, had been hired the day before.

"This is the last of approximately 40 attorneys who have appeared on the eve of a hearing," exasperated Diamond Ridge lawyer Jordan Katz told the judge.

"This is very typical of the defendant — he recycles lawyers to buy himself more time," said Max Sold, who works for Diamond Ridge. "This guy is basically mocking the courts."

In the court hearing, Friedman accused Katz of using "scandalous language."

Reached by phone after the appearance, Friedman declined to make Hanspal available for an interview.

When asked why Hanspal hasn’t paid his mortgage, the attorney pinned the blame on Gov. Cuomo’s March 2020 eviction moratorium, claiming the governor had made paying rent "a moral obligation." He hung up after a Post reporter noted his client’s failure to pay predates the pandemic by 20 years.

COVID-19 protections, which put the brakes on evictions, shouldn’t apply to Hanspal, Katz argued, because Hanspal isn’t legally occupying the house, he said.

"We don’t believe the act was put in place to protect individuals like this," he said.

‘Friday’ Franchise Frozen as Ice Cube and Warner Bros. Fight Over New Movie

A spat between star Ice Cube and WarnerMedia has escalated into a high-stakes blame game that threatens to permanently derail the movie "Last Friday," the latest film planned for the long-running comedy franchise.

Over the past several weeks, the two sides have exchanged heated letters over the fate of a movie that has been in the works for nearly a decade and still isn’t close to getting done. At issue: disagreements over creative direction, accusations that neither side is engaging in a sincere manner and finger pointing over who is causing the delays.

Ice Cube, whose legal name is O’Shea Jackson, has been one of the industry’s most lucrative stars for more than two decades. Movies he has starred or co-starred in or produced have grossed more than $2 billion at the box office.

Man bitten by neighbor’s escaped python in toilet in Austria

A man in Austria was bitten by a 5 1/4-foot python during an early-morning visit to the toilet at his home on Monday, police said.

The reptile, which apparently escaped from a neighbor’s apartment and may have slithered through the drains, was cleaned and handed back to its owner.

The 65-year-old victim "felt a ‘nip’ in the genital area" shortly after sitting on the toilet at home in Graz just after 6 a.m., according to a statement from police in Styria province. He then looked into the toilet and discovered the albino reticulated python.

The snake apparently had escaped unnoticed from the apartment of the man’s 24-year-old neighbor. It wasn’t immediately possible to figure out how it escaped and how it got into the toilet, but police said it may have made its way through the drains.

A reptile expert was called to retrieve the snake, which was returned to his owner. Police said the younger man kept 11 non-venomous constrictor snakes and a gecko in his apartment, in terrariums and drawers. He faces an investigation on suspicion of causing bodily harm by negligence.

The victim sustained only minor injuries, police said.

Yes, dumbasses.

The bear ran away after waking the three campers, who removed food from their tents, secured it, and went back to bed.
