Bank customer’s $1M-bill scam sets off police search

Police in Nebraska are searching for a man who allegedly tried Monday to open an account with a fake $1 million bill.

Staff at the Pinnacle Bank branch in Lincoln said the man strolled in around 9:30 a.m. and presented the bill to a teller, The Lincoln Journal-Star reported.

He claimed the bill was real despite bank employees telling him the opposite. He left with the bogus bill -- but without a new account.

The bank reported the encounter to the police.

Investigators are reviewing security footage from the bank to try and identify the man. They want to perform a welfare check and determine if he had been the victim of a crime, the paper reported.

The U.S. Mint does not print $1 million bills, according to the Treasury Department. The largest bill ever printed for public circulation is the $10,000 bill.

Police were investigating how the Porsche went airborne.

The building, which houses several businesses, was unoccupied at the time of the crash, police said.

Porsche launches into second floor of building; 2 dead

Two people were killed in New Jersey early Sunday when a Porsche launched into the air and smashed into the second story of a commercial building, investigators said.

The sports car, a 2010 Porsche Boxster convertible, was traveling at “a high rate of speed” when the driver lost control, hit a center median and struck an embankment that sent it smashing through the building, Toms River Police spokeswoman Jillian Messina told Fox News.

The victims were later identified as 22-year-old Braden DeMartin of Toms River and his passenger, 23-year-old Daniel Foley, also of Toms River, the department said in a news release. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.

Bitches be crazy.

A Manhattan socialite said to have cycled through 10 divorce attorneys in a bitter legal battle with her estranged husband has finally run out of lawyers, she said Tuesday.

At a July hearing, Karl’s lawyer, Robert Wallack, said the case had been delayed by Julianne’s “misconduct” — including her hiring 10 consecutive lawyers in a divorce battle that has lasted more than two years — even though the marriage was only 14 months long.

I used to do this with my best friend back in Junior High. It took up half his bedroom and we'd save up our milk money, allowance and money from extra chores to ride our bikes to downtown Fullerton, hang out at the train station and the hobby store on Commonwealth to pick up more paint or fake shrubs. N scale was cool because of how small the trains were but they were harder to get the tracks right and the engines burnt out pretty easy.

Larry Paul McClure, 55, said in a letter to state investigators that he and his daughters — 31-year-old Amanda Michelle Naylor McClure and 32-year-old Anna Marie Choudhry — plotted the murder of John McGuire.

West Virginia father marries one of his daughters after murdering her boyfriend: police

A West Virginia man admitted to authorities that he married one of his two daughters after helping both of them kill another man and dump him in a shallow grave, a report said Monday.

Larry Paul McClure, 55, said in a letter to state investigators that he and his daughters — 31-year-old Amanda Michelle Naylor McClure and 32-year-old Anna Marie Choudhry — plotted the murder of John McGuire, who was dating Amanda, the Bluefield Daily Telegraph reported.

A West Virginia State Police officer testified in a recent court hearing that the trio hit McGuire in the head with a bottle of wine, tied him up and injected him with two vials of meth, according to the report.

They then strangled him and buried him in a shallow grave on the property of a home where they were staying in the Skygusty section of the state.

In his admission letter, McClure wrote the murder was his daughter Amanda’s idea.

“I cannot tell you why Amanda wanted John McGuire dead,” Larry McClure wrote, according to the report.

“I am asking for this to be over and not waisting [sic] the taxpayers money and hurting the family members on both sides of this. John McGuires family and my family,” he added.

Police allege Amanda and her father then traveled to Virginia and married each other at the United Methodist Church minster of the gospel.
