What might be Asia’s longest-missing bird just came out of hiding. For the first time in 170 years, a black-browed babbler has been found in Indonesia, researchers reported last week. The discovery of the muted black, gray and chestnut-brown bird solves what an authoritative birding guide describes as “one of the great enigmas of Indonesian ornithology.”

I haven't seen the black one but I know this board is filled with low-browed babblers

College students fall to their death after railing gives out

At least seven college students in Bolivia fell to their death Tuesday after a metal railing broke on the fourth floor of a university building, video shows.

The tragedy happened at the El Alto University near the Bolivian capital of La Paz, Reuters reported.

A horrifying video of the incident shows a crowd of students pushing and shoving each other. A metal railing gives way, causing multiple students to plummet four stories below.

A few students could be seen dangling off the side before being pulled to safety as the crowd disperses.

Health Minister Jayson Auza told reporters that "seven have died and five are in a critical state, some of them stabilized."

Bolivia’s Special Force to Fight Crime has opened an investigation. The crime unit says the victims' ages ranged from 19 to 27.

Local media reported that the students were in the middle of a tense meeting – which had prompted some physical altercations – at the university before the railing broke.

A bronze-bodied replica of a 1965 Shelby 427 S/C Cobra replica is currently for sale at RM Sotheby’s.

The medal-worthy ride was built by Utah’s Kirkham Motorsports, which usually fabricates them out of aluminum, but has made a few other bronze ones. This particular example is unique in that it is a CSX 4600 continuation car with an authentic Shelby serial number.

The bare metal is unpainted to show off the company’s craftsmanship, but has been hand-polished and features two racing stripes brushed into the surface. Company owner David Kirkham told Fox News Autos that it weighs about 200 to 250 pounds more than one of the aluminum models and uses twice as many body parts due to the small size that bronze sheets come in.

A 650 hp 427 FE V8 engine bored out to 511 cubic inches built by the Carroll Shelby Engine Company is under the hood and sends 670 lb-ft of torque to the tires through a five-speed manual transmission.

The car is being offered for sale, not auction, at $475,000, which means its current owner thinks it’s worth about 100 times its weight in bronze.

A man in England taking pictures of Cornwall’s coastline, snapped a photo recenelty of what at first appeared to be a ship floating through the clouds.

Photographer David Morris said he was "amazed and very baffled" by the optical illusion but admitted he had seen something similar before, according to the U.K.’s ITV.

The ship looked like it was floating because of the similar coloring of the distant sky and sea, according to ITV.

"Superior mirages occur because of the weather condition known as a temperature inversion, where cold air lies close to the sea with warmer air above it," BBC meteorologist David Braine said.

He said the mirage appears because of "special atmospheric conditions that bend light," adding the phenomenon is common in the Arctic but occasionally occurs in the U.K.

"Since cold air is denser than warm air, it bends light towards the eyes of someone standing on the ground or on the coast, changing how a distant object appears," he said.
