Yeah the ball was definitely flying today.  Luckily, Heaney's taken it all in stride, his confidence hasn't wavered the way it may for others in the PCL.  Taylor Ward is everything as advertised.  Taller, strong looking kid.  Athletic, and absolute cannon for an arm.  Everything he does is fast and smooth.  Fletcher looked really athletic, as did Survence.  Sanger looks pretty composed, like nothing surprises him. 

 

Not one of our guys but man Jedd Gyorko, just looks nothing like the hitter he was 2-3 years ago..  I've never seen a guy get multiple hits and look awful doing it.

Some guys just lose it completely without warning. Brandon Wood, Chone Figgins, Melvin Upton. I'm hoping Gyorko is still young enough to recover.

Jahmai Jones went 3-4 hitting in the leadoff spot. Maybe he'll be the Angels first HS position player to make it to A Ball for his age 18/19 season. Last one I can think of is Trout-Grichuk.

Delgado doesn't count, international prospect. Kind of illuminates the poor scouting and drafting of the HS ranks by the Angels.
