The fitbit seems like the perfect option if you're not sold on the smartwatches like me

 

Love the app and website. Can add friends and see how you compare with them.

Fair warning, the heart rate monitor is wildly inaccurate.

I showed this to my wife who uses a heart rate monitor when she works out.  She said "$149? nah."

Was looking into getting a heartrate monitor.  But after seeing the prices, decided I could use the heartrate monitor on my phone instead.  Although some of them that were recommended as compatable with Endomondo were in the $30-40 range.

not going to deny that I absolutely didn't need it and probably overpaid...

and I am definitely not very smart and tend to buy things on impulse, but with all that being said, it does more than just track your hr. :\

Like... it tells you what time it is and you can put it on your wrist! What a great invention.

I have it. The heart rate monitor works but not while I'm working out. I think my skin gets to sweaty and it throws the monitor off.

 

I like how it tracks my sleep though.

I bought one of the high end Sport Line ones, but it says Err or Recall.

For legit tracking your best bet are the ones made by Body Media.

They have sensors on your skin.

The wrist ones just follow hand movement.

When it does that, just reboot your heart and it will read OK.
