6th highest overall viewership (107,000); 6th lowest rating per household (1.89).

We're also in the bottom half of viewership vs. other prime time shows.

 

I guess that speaks to how many other TV interests folks in OC have, but baseball is still a big one.

I want to know what governs the ratings. Why are the Brewers and Indians so high?

Boston isn't as high up the ranks as I thought they would be.

Ratings is just a percentage of the households watching.  There are much fewer households in Milwaukee and Cleveland, but a higher percent of those households are watching Brewers and Indians games.  So even though we have twice as many households watching as Milwaukee, we have 5.66 million households vs. their 914k.

I'd like to see those numbers anyway. It's laughable that the Dogs are in the second season of this TV rights cluster****.

What's even worse is the MLB blackout rules. Fans shouldn't have to be punished for squabbles between corporations trying to squeeze whatever penny they can out of each other. If someone wants to buy MLB.tv so be it. Stop restricting people.
