Millionaire Senator sues pizza delivery guy for getting lost on his property (guess the state...)

Recommended Posts

When an 18-year-old pizza delivery guy in Inverness, Fla. got lost and ended up in the wrong yard, state Sen. Charlie Dean came at him with a flashlight and gun, the Citrus County Chronicle reports.

What happened next is disputed by Dean and the pizza guy, Giovanni Bencini, who both say they were threatened by the other, according to the Chronicle.

I wonder who was threatening who: the guy with the pizza or the guy with the gun?

Now the state senator, with a $7.2 million net worth, is reportedly suing the teenage technical college student for $14,836 he apparently spent on a lawyer and private investigator for some reason.

Classy.

And yes, there is an entire website dedicated to pizza

The actual story is well...Florida.  But it doesn't exactly paint the delivery guy as blameless.

Bencini, who said he was dressed in a Hungry Howie’s apron and uniform, said he called 911. He said the dispatcher told him to leave, but he didn’t. He then called the customer, who could hear him yelling at Dean.

You can't believe anything you read on that liberal and/or conservative outlet.

The lawsuit says Bencini’s statement to a 911 operator that Dean pointed a gun at him is a “false statement and an outright lie.”

Grant (Dean's Attorney) said Dean removed the gun from his pocket and placed it along his thigh only after Bencini began threatening him.

Pulling a gun is threatening no matter where it is pointed. A kid sitting in a pizza delivery car calling for directions, not so much. I'm going with the kids story and mainly because he was recorded by 911 making a statement at the time of the event what the Senators actions were.

The Senator chose to take extreme measures without cause both that night and following. His personal investigation of a pizza delivery guy is his choice and he should pay his own bills for being a paranoid son of a bitch.

Hopefully he will be voted out of office by college kids who have to take minimum wage jobs to pay for tuition.
