DEATH OF 'EXPLORER' Microsoft giving up on Internet browser

I am forced to use it at work because it has been certified as our "official" browser. We cannot download or use anything else. One of its more aggravating features is a tendency to say that virtually every website has an invalid certificate and it refuses to display certain content unless I bypass its screening mechanism. This has to be done for each website I visit with a so-called "invalid" certificate. Among the sites with supposedly invalid certificates are at least three search engines plus the state-run system that I do my payroll on every two weeks. I also notice that when you go to a website it gives each item it loads a separate entry in the history listing, so if you want to go back to the last page you looked at it may take six or seven clicks on the back arrow instead of just one like every other browser. I have taken to just right clicking on the back arrow and selecting the web page off the list - an inefficient and ass-backwards way to do things, but then this is IE.
