I'm Ok with this since Trout doesn't usually hit leading off an inning. Plus Callaspo is really fast

Our problem has not been getting guys on base, or them being slow once they get on.  It's that we get guys on base and then the bats stop.  Having Alberto leading off, speed or no speed, will mean nothing unless we start hitting with men on base.

I think the real change to be made should've been switching Pujols and Hamilton. Hamilton is making a lot of outs with guys on base,  and Pujols is getting walked in front of him seemingly every time he comes up with runners on.

 

Trumbo after Hamilton is also an issue... lots of the RISP issues have come from these two guys striking out to end innings. Trumbo is hitting OK overall but I think I'd rather see Kendrick, someone a little more likely to put the ball in play, hitting there.

The problem the past couple nights has been pitching. The 5 runs we've scored each of the past 2 nights is plenty if the pitching is decent. Good teams win games when they score 5 runs.

Aybar at leadoff is still better than giving Trout a red light so Aybar can bunt him to second.
