Watching the Brewers/Jays game on MLB today. Very interesting to see Edwin Encarnacion step out of the batters box and then immediately realize he was breaking the pace of play rules and jump back into the box.

I think a sight improvement and it is interesting to see the thirty second clock. I do get tired of the batters readjusting the Velcro on their batting gloves constantly between pitches.

That'll take some getting used to.

I can't wait to hear Jose Mota's thoughts on this.

The man who once described a homerun swing using the phrase "lift and separate" will surely have an interesting take.

Pretty notable things that happened today:

1. Bumgarner gave up the cycle to the A's in the 1st.

2. Kang hits an opposite field HR in his second AB

3. Cespedes hits a Grand Slam in his first at bat with the Tigers.

4. Pat Venditte, A's switch pitcher, retired two players with both righty and lefty.

Good outing by Semien of the A's. Some of these homeruns were a result of the wind blowing out today in Florida, so fun to watch but not that important.

The "shot-clock" is a bit annoying because the announcers kept talking about it during all the games, but I think these new rules will help with the pace of play (also with my wallet, saving a few bucks from buying those extra beers while we were bored...)

So tired of the glove adjustment every pitch

This just in: Manfred has cancelled all pace of play rules and has instead opted for mandatory double headers and unlimited video review, including balls and strikes.

Now I know they are going with the batter can't step out of the box rule, but the 30 second clock, that is just something they are testing in spring training games, right?
