To answer the original question, very rusty. I gave away my snow shovels when we finished loading the truck to move west.

The trick to shoveling snow is plastic. You get one of those plastic grain shovels and one of those big azz plastic wheelbarrows (w/ 2 wheels in the front) - your golden. You just have to remember to lift one foot for a second as you lift the shovel, so you don't hurt your back.
