Never really liked this movie, but the selection of "Don't You (Forget About Me)" is fantastic, though I tend to relate it more to Philip J Fry - the first person on Mars.

I teach Long Form Improvisational Theater high school students. Their final project is to study and rehearse a style and present two 45 minute improvised plays with multiple plot lines basedon that style.

Last year we decided to do John Hughes/Cameron Crowe movies.

It is amazing how well these movies held up and how much today's teens still love them.

They were amazed at how edgy and slightly racist they were.

Yep, that's Wendy Thomas, the daughter of Wendy's founder Dave Thomas.

It's probably important to note that Paul Gleason, who played the character "Bender," was in the third season premiere episode of Miami Vice with Liam Neeson.  

 

Also worth noting is that the character "Carl the Janitor" was played by John Kapelos (he was also in "Sixteen Candles."  He too was in an episode of Miami Vice .  The episode was called "Milk Run."  He played a defense attorney.  Crockett tracks him down at a bar where he's trying to pick up the chick bartender.  He says to her:  "Ya know their making sex a misdemeanor?...The more ya miss it, da meaner ya get."
