Angels Official Website: LA story of Heaney, Kendrick could have happy ending for all

Man, I'm sure going to miss Howie.  Love the trade, but the closer the season gets the more real it becomes that someone else will be starting at second for the first time since I graduated high school.

I love Howie too. But it will be nice to have a second baseman who isn't a sucker for low-and-away breaking pitches 99% of the time.

This is the type of move that will probably hurt a bit in the near future (meaning, 2015) but help in the long-run (2016 and beyond). I'm excited about Heaney but at this point I think he's going to be more of a #3 type and maybe struggle a bit in 2015, with a year not unlike Skaggs' 2014 with an ERA around 4.00ish.

As for Howie, I fully expect the long promised batting title in 2015.
