What about a "dislike" button?  Stupid siiick lineups and terrible traaaades ideas would be awesome to hit the "dislike" button. Of course only registered members could vote.

 

I like how on MLBtraderumors.com they have a thumbs up and thumbs down selection, that keeps tabs on everyone's selection.  Just a thought.

I think not clicking "LIKE" on a post, or responding with your thoughts should be the proper way to communicate your dislike of a post. Personally I'd rather people engage, not click a button to share their thoughts.

A dislike button would eliminate half my posts.

Just wanted to give props to chuck and the mod team for doing a great job. Other communities sometimes let the power get to them and they end up censoring and deleting topics they might not like or disagree with.

Nice to have that freedom of expression.

I don't agree with your assessment but my guess is you bring a lot of attention to yourself. You do this by saying silly stuff. Post here, try to fit in. Gain the respect of the people here. Only then will your silliness be somewhat ignored. Just ask TrollDaddy.

We have RSS feeds from the Angels MLB site (Alden Gonzalez) and the OC Register (Jeff Fletcher) sent here automatically. Sometimes this will happen.

I used to have the LA Times, but they ditched their Angels RSS feed.

F them, they're a Dodger paper.

Is there a way to make it so that you can log on and get a indicator that someone quoted you and replied to something you posted.

 

Kind of like the follow topic button but you would not have to have the button flagged to get that indication.

I appreciate the opportunity to read and sometimes add to conversations regarding baseball and the Angels.  Thanks for continuing the website and offering its therapeutic services for those of us outside the confines of the Big A.  I will continue my lobbying to have it added to the list of approved vendors covered by Obama care.

I thought of a few more.

• Don't allow people to "like" their own post.
• Ability to ignore a topic. Yep, the whole thread.
• Ability to put someone on ignore by clicking on their user name rather than entering their name manually via personal settings (or whatever it is - not gonna check ).

All 3 of these features were available on a now-defunct forum I belonged to years ago ....

 

P.S. Option 2 is so you don't even see a thread you have no interest in no matter how many times a new post is added.

One thing that could be cool is some sort of easily available like tracker.  For instance, if a thread has a post with more than five likes, some sort of flag would be good.

The ability on mobile to view the last page of a thread. For example the what have you watched lately thread I'd like to read the newest posts as opposed to clicking next page on 50 pages.

Click on the star instead of the thread title. It takes you to the last read post.
