I don't subscribe to any cloud services. Once month Adobe demands an Internet handshake for their product bundle on my workstation. After that I unplug the cable.

One of the reasons is one virus wipes out our system and show delivery. I am on a stand alone workstation but all of our server shared editing systems are also not connected to the world Wide virus.

We've had something as simple as a downloaded graphic file from what we believed was a reliable source having an embedded virus and blowing up multiple workstations. So checks and security measures are practiced on every file that makes its way from outside of our network to the general population. No Internet means no editors/assists/loggers spending time not on task and risking the systems to a catastrophic crash.

They are allowed Internet access on any personal computer or non workstation to do inter office email or Web related research. Many of them use cloud services on their own devices but there is a separation of office and editing systems.
