Lineup 2/24 vs Oakland

Recommended Posts

I was at the home opener yesterday and will be at todays game as well. I was actually surprised to see so many regulars (Bourjos, Trumbo, Aybar, Williams) this early.

Trumbo is a bit of a wild card at the plate considering his second half slump. Scioscia may want him to get more hitting practice in at the DH spot (wont tire out as much if he's not playing a field position)

Bourjos might be trying out for his own job with Wells.

He didn't re-injure it, they are just apparently taking it really slow and he's not even running at full speed yet.  They said a couple days ago that he wouldn't need anymore than 2 weeks to be ready for Opening Day.

The right knee surgery took place on October 9th. On October 18th Dipoto was quoted as saying that it was a "very minor" procedure and that he would be back at full strength within a month or so. It was a cleanup, nothing significant, kind of a blip on the radar. That was over 4 months ago.
