IGNORED

Are we becoming just like Yankees or Sox fans?

Recommended Posts

In the first week:

We've seen:

People leaving in the 6th inning of home opener.

People escorted out by security/ushers/police

Drunken fans.

Complaints about the food service.

Complaints about the ticket system/pricing.

Hating on the pitching.

Hating on the hitting.

Hating on the managing.

Grumbling about the big money signings?

Grumbling about our injury woes?

Isn't this the behavior of Yankees or Red Sox fans.

Isn't this the behavior that Angels fan have hated for decades.

I stayed all Tuesday night

Last night was ridiculously long

But the way things transpired last night. How can you blame those ppl? It was just flat out embrassing. Just a total uninspired team that shows zero emotion right now. I know fans were rockin the place Tuesday. I wont be surprised if boo birds come out tonight and they throw their blankets on the field. Lol.

Now do they deserve to be called fair weather? I dont think so. Winning cures everything

It's the way this franchise is setting itself up for failure over the next several years, that pisses me off, on top of being post-seasonless since 2010.   2010s are fast becoming like the 1980s for the Skanks (hold fingers to nose to handle the stench).

If we had a baseball savvy enough owner, it would have never, eeeever gotten to this point; because that owner would have never hired J. Pierpont Reagins as GM, and would have kept tabs on Scioscia, making sure he was truly the right guy instead of just a guy who benefitted from Maddon, Black, and Roenicke.

Leaving early isn't a crime folks.  I don't have school age children at home anymore, but if I did the length of the last two games would be brutal on school days.  I go to about 80% of the home games, and I've seen a lot of kids the last two nights around me who should be going to school the next day.  Fortunately most of their parents are responsible and leave before it gets too late.  Also some people don't want to extend their night beyond certain limits because they have other obligations the next day.  Just because a fan may only go for 3 innings doesn't make them less of a fan than one who sits there all night, especially if the one who is there all night is drunk, and a vulgar critic.

Drinking beyond your capacity, and then plunging into your car to drive home is deadly as we all know.  That is a crime, and one of my big beefs about baseball fans.  It still happens far, far too often.

All the jokes aside, if you are comparing us to them in that we expect the team to win - then yes, we have become them.  And I am not embarrassed to say so.  It means we have been successful - the fan base is enlarged (from when I was a kid) and we have certain expectations.  There is nothing wrong with this especially when you look at the amount of payroll $$$ and you realize that it is, in fact, we the fans who are paying this some way, some how.

Now do we walk around like our shit doesn't stink and that it is our God given right to be in the playoffs every year?  No, we don't do that.  But if this team can rattle off some seriously successful years in a row... I would not be surprised to see it happen.

It would happen, it's the nature of baseball fans.  Egos would rule, big egos.  That's why bullying is a big problem among our children.
