Yes, #Nats are willing to trade Stephen Strasburg if they don't get acceptable offer for Zimmermann (in event they land Scherzer).

#Nats prepared to trade starter if they sign Scherzer. Zimmermann most likely candidate but one source says Nats would listen on Strasburg.

I think the cost would be prohibitive and not worth even kicking the tires. And if course, there is no chance he signs an extension, so there is no chance you have him for more than two years.

The scary thing is that if Strasburg is really on the table, Houston (and possibly Texas) seem like prime destination spots.

Newcomb, Yarbrough and Bedrosian probably puts you in the right vicinity for a deal. 2 years and around 20 million dollars for a top 15 pitcher in his prime is a very nice deal.

while that might be going in the opposite direction, if it were that easy i would be pretty stoked. I dont think it would be anywhere near that cheap though
