One name that doesn't belong on the mountain, but is underrated in SoCal lore is Bob Pulford. 

He was a solid forward for the Kings late in playing career, and as a coach led them to their best regular season ever in 74-75 (105 pts in 80 games and a +84 goal differential).   Unfortunately, Toronto happened that post-season (first round exit in the 3 game mini series).
