interesting take on Weaver's injury

"Jered Weaver will miss four to six weeks with a fracture in his left elbow. This could be great news for the Los Angeles Angels.  To understand how losing someone considered one of the best pitchers in the game could be a good thing for a pennant contender, we need to start with this: Jered Weaver wasn't pitching like himself even before the injury. In fact, he's been throwing off red flags since last season."

Even before I heard about the fracture I suspect he was already dealing with some other nagging injury, similar to what was happening with Harrison.

Having trouble typing from my Galaxy S3 on this forum only for some reason... but anywho

Another great read from Grantland. It's definitely been a worry for me as well. It's apparent the Angels management is concerned as well after placing him on the DL after nothing was seen on the MRI. Hopefully this extended rest will allow to get his mind and body right.

Seeing alot of star pitchers starting to tail off now with Halladay, Lincecum, etc.

Has he been throwing red flags with his left arm?
