There are several articles on the fact that the movie completely left out the fact the he was already drafting voting legislation before the marches happened. The movie made it seemed he was reactionary and was being forced to draft it because of mlk.

Saw it today. Very powerful film. The acting is phenomenal.

I watched it last night. It is really good. I don't think it as good as The Imitation Game, Whiplash, Birdman, or Boyhood. The acting is incredible. The direction seemed a bit amateurish. Just my opinion, so don't kill me for the comment.

All those movies are in my top 10 for 2015, but I think I'd rank Selma ahead of them. Another movie that was fantastic but won't get any Oscar love is A Most Wanted Man.

I enjoyed Selma overall. It was solid biopic but I don't think all that much outside of that. Wouldn't be in my Top 10 or really anywhere near it. This year didn't really have any clear cut favorite for me but there were a ton of very good movies I feel were better.
