Once upon a time Johan Santana was a truly great pitcher, even the best in baseball for a few years. But once upon a time was five years ago, seven really since he's been great.

 

That said, he's "only" going to be 36 in 2015, so I don't see what harm it would do. I mean, why not invite Ben Sheets and Mark Prior while we're at it.
