So what is too soon and too late? I'll tell you, for 160 more people nobody in that corridor have done anything soon enough to prevent what now is too late. They have done nothing since the last lost flight to prevent this one from disappearing from radar in an area that they should not be able to fall off the grid. Something is wrong.

As usual, The Aviation Herald has the best (and most accurate) information about plane crashes.  Don't waste your time with mainstream news, read this instead:

I lurk on that site, but I never post. The people there tend to attack those who aren't total experts in aviation. Airnation.net tends to be more forgiving for those of us who are aficionados but have no idea what to do when landing a Boeing 727 when the #3 engine goes out on final approach.

wait a minute, so you don't know how to land that particular jet minus one engine? holy smokes, vegas, i had no idea you were such an amateur.  i'm not sure we can be friends anymore.

24+ hours later and still no hint of the plane. no debris found, and apparently this is an area frequented by plenty of ships.

what about the transponder? did it get turned off?

this flight has the same fisihiness to it that MH370 had. i think that plane ended up in a hangar somewhere, and i wouldn't be surprised if this one does too.
